i was almost ready to give a glowing review, but then i encountered a shower/bathroom that was way too small and dirty. the place is literally falling apart! and let’s not forget the unfriendly staff at the restaurant who take ages to serve. a little courtesy could’ve gone a long way. such a letdown!

great stay with minor room issues
The staff were exceptionally friendly and offered immediate assistance when needed. The sea view from the room was simply breathtaking, enhancing our overall experience. We also appreciated the warm water and uncrowded beach, which provided a relaxing escape.
The room lacked sufficient space, making it feel cramped at times.

The breathtaking views of the landscape around the area are absolutely stunning. waking up to that every morning was a highlight. The hiking trails to the famous geological formations are well-marked and provide an exhilarating way to connect with the nature surrounding the establishment.
Our unit was decidedly in need of some maintenance—old windows that didn’t function properly and a shower head held together with tape raised some eyebrows. The water quality was questionable. both hot and cold taps had a brownish tint, and the absence of a filter made me hesitate to even wash my hands. Power was out for a stretch, and while there was a generator, it didn’t cover every room which left us in complete darkness at times. Access to some units is on a steep incline, which could be tricky for those unaccustomed to such hiking-like conditions. On top of that, the lack of thorough room checks prior to guest arrivals seems like a matter that could use some serious attention.

The breathtaking views of the surroundings catch your eye as soon as you step outside, especially from unit 47 overlooking the beach. Well-marked hiking trails lead to notable geological formations, providing a great way to connect with the area’s natural beauty.
Road access is a major hassle. I wouldn't recommend coming after 5 PM especially in a small vehicle—those gravel and sand roads could use some serious signage. Power outages left certain units stranded in the dark, and even with a generator, mine wasn't covered, resulting in a frustrating night without light. The quality of water out of both hot and cold taps had a brown tint, making basic hygiene a questionable experience until notified of a fix. Finally, the steep incline to access rooms can test your patience and fitness as it’s not exactly gentle on the legs!

The well-marked hiking trails provided an exhilarating way to connect with the stunning landscape, making the experience incredibly enjoyable. the unit itself could benefit from some necessary upgrades and maintenance to enhance the overall experience.

Had a fantastic time with my friends! We explored the beautiful surroundings and enjoyed fishing and hiking. The place is great for a fun group vacation, featuring an outdoor swimming pool and BBQ facilities. The spacious apartment was clean, and staff were friendly throughout our stay.
The dining options were quite pricey and not as good as expected. We faced issues with the bar and food costs, which could be improved.

Perfect spot for family fun!
We had an amazing time exploring Hole in the Wall! The kids loved the shallow waters while we grilled up some boerewors. Plus, the in-room breakfast was delicious! The only thing that bugged us a bit was the spider webs in the ceiling. Despite that, the staff were super friendly and always around to help.
